Prompt template · Make AI Work for Your Business · Start
Help me decide which [process or task] to improve with AI first, so that [business result]. My business does [what]. The team has [size, skills]. We currently use [tools]. These are the candidate tasks: [list with rough time spent each week]. Do not recommend specific vendors. Flag any task involving personal or confidential data. A table ranking each task on value, effort and risk, with one sentence of reasoning per task. List the questions I should answer before starting a pilot on the top-ranked task.
Short example
Help me decide which administrative task to improve with AI first, so that we free up time for client work. We are a six-person bookkeeping firm using email and spreadsheets. Candidates: intake emails (5h/week), monthly reports (8h/week), appointment planning (3h/week). Do not recommend vendors. Rank each on value, effort and risk in a table.
Three ways to check the response
- Check the ranking against what you know of your own team; AI cannot see your context unless you give it.
- Look for tasks the output marked as risky and confirm who in your business decides on those.
- Treat the result as a starting point for a conversation with your team, not as a decision.
A prompt is an instruction, not an autonomous agent. You remain responsible for what you use or send.
